I am not sure if it will work on your model, but on mine the view finder, not the LCD display, pulls out. You have to seat it really well or I get the "Lense Cap" error. Hope it helps.

I have a JVC Camcorder 600x and when I turn it on now the screen is always blue and says remove lens cap. However I already did that and it won't record anything but sound. Can you please help me! My husband is deployed and I have three children and can't videotape anything! I got your contact information from the website. i have the same problem please help i already did what you said but still nothing comes out?????
