Re[3]: JVC service or questions

I had the same problem with mine. I changed C424 capacitor, 100uf, 35volts and it solved the problem. It is a 49 cents part here in Canada.
Too bad JVC wont acknowledge the problem which seems to start at about 2 years of service.
My next TV will not be a JVC.

  Thanks for posting this fix. I changed out capacitor C424 and WaLa ----
  It fixed the lines across top of screen for my JVC 27230.
  Got the 100uf 35V cap from Radio Shack for $1.79

  It worked for us too! THANK YOU for posting this! We were seriously considering purchasing a replacement TV, and a $2 part and this forum saved the day.
