If the vertical size has changed, something in the Vertical Output Circuit has changed value. However, the vertical size is adjustable by entering the Service Adjustment Mode so you may be able to compensate. I have info on entering the Service Adjustment Mode for a JVC AV-35BP5 which I believe is very similiar to what you have. The procedure is a bit complex but if you send me an e-mail with your address, I'll send you the info. You'll need the OEM Remote Control to perform the adjustments.
