Re: JVC AV35BP3

Steve Posted Nov 06, 2005, in response to:Nancy

Hey Eric, Your not the only one with this problem. I'm at my inlaws house now, watching the Pacer game and can't see the score on the tv. They have the same tv and and the same problem. This has been a problem since they bought the tv 15 +/- years ago. I want to know how to adjust the Tube size too. Is it a knob or something beyond that? good luck

Eric, I am replying to the posting from Steve to see if I can also get the information for adjusting the vertical output for my AV35BP3. Thanks.

    Correction

The Vertical Height is NOT adjusted through the Menu on the JVC AV35BP3. It is done with R403 (V.Height) Control located on the Main Circuit Board. Vertical centering is done with S401 (V.Center) a 3 position switch. Sorry for the incorrect info. Eric

If the vertical size has changed, something in the Vertical Output Circuit has changed value. However, the vertical size is adjustable by entering the Service Adjustment Mode so you may be able to compensate. I have info on entering the Service Adjustment Mode for a JVC AV-35BP5 which I believe is very similiar to what you have. The procedure is a bit complex but if you send me an e-mail with your address, I'll send you the info. You'll need the OEM Remote Control to perform the adjustments. And before you make any adjustments write down all the original values. Good Luck, Eric
