With the market conditions now I doubt Sony would give any help. I did get their help with an earlier 53" TV which got me this one but that was because the earlier one was a lemon and I had several problems within the warranty period. If Sony is obligated to carry spares for seven years (varies from state to state I believe), you may be able to go to the AG of your state.
