My 7 year old AV36980 just stopped coming on today and searching the web for JVC service information I fortunately came across this forum. I found C926 bulging as described, took a quick trip to Radio Shack, paid my $1.75, replaced the cap and voila, the TV powered right up. The internet is awesome!
