Re: JVC service or questions

I have a JVC mini dv camcorder model GR-D90u. It started to eat brand new tapes, tried 2 different brands. It goes into safemode and gives an error code of 03. It's 3 years old but I really did not put a lot of hours on it. The repair shop wants $75 to look at it plus parts and labor. Is there anything I or JVC can do?
