Re: JVC service or questions

I have a JVC GR-SXM250. It has worked fine up till today. Although we got it not quite two years we rarely use it, mostly at family reunions and Christmas. The problem is we went to use it today (family reunion) and i get sound but no picture. We can play other tapes fine, but when I try to record I get "Lens Cap" even though it is not on.   I have a GR-DF430U and I am having the same trouble. I turn the camcorder on, and the "lens cap" flashes over a black picture, and the picture never changes away from being black. I can record the black picture with sound, but just can't seem to get picture.
