Re[2]: Error Codes Assistance

I Get this error code on my sony TRV11e dv camcorder C:31:30
The tape is stuck in the carrier and I can't get it out. It also makes a high speed wirring noise like it is rewinding rapidly. Is this repairable?

Help this is happening all the time - what can I do?

  Hi,
  I have the same problem for 3 years now, errorcode C:31:30. The best suggestion I have had untill now is: "Get tape out, let the camara open, get batery out and then smash it (smoothly) three times with a flat hand. My camara is still working, but it is a risk.....goodluck.
