Re: Error Codes Assistance

I have a Sony Hi8 videocamera. Months back it started refusing to eject my tape. The tape door used to open without mechanical assistance once I pushed the open/eject tab down. Not any more. A while later, while pushing around in parts inside the tape deck (which I realize I probably should not have done), I got a C:31:42 error.

Any ideas on how I can fix it, and how I can get my tape out of there without damaging it?
