Re[2]: Convergence problems on AV-48WP30

David - 4th Oct 2006 4:44

Hi guys. My TV started out with the Red convergence problem as mentioned in this thread. I managed to tweak it enough that I felt it was tolerable. Lasted about 6 months. Then yesterday, the Green cross hairs of the convergence were out of whack. The top middle is pushed way down and bottom middle is pushed way up. The picture is squeezed. Someone else mentioned exactly this on page 1 of this thread. Does anyone know if the solution to replace the IC's will fix the problem with the green convergence??

If anyone could send me the repair manual for the AV-48WP30 I would appreciate it.

Does replacing STK392-110 fix the problem with the green convergence? Thank you, JD

I am having the exact same problem. First it was the red - a technician fixed that, and now less than two months later, the green is off center. Can someone please send me the manual as well? Thanks!

I had a problem with my TV colors not lining up. One day I turned it on and the green was out of wack. I checked this message board and replaced the STK chips, bad soldering and all led to me just giving up on that and buying a whole new Convergence Board ($185). I replaced the missing silver box on the new board and I just plugged this in and though now my Green lines up okay, my red is out of whack. Is there something I am doing wrong? Can anyone help me? Did i miss a step? Frustrated......Bruce
