Re: JVC service or questions

I have a JVC widescreen TV Model No AV-28R370KE for which I have lost the instruction manual. I have recently wired up the surround sound speakers (correctly)and they are not working.
On checking the menue it shows 'surround sound off'and I am unable to remedy this.
Can you advise please.
