Hi there onetoof: Thanks for letting us know that it helped you as well. Yes, I would be skeptical as well except for the fact that it works. I certainly can't explain why this works, but from the many replies, it isn't just a fluke with my DSC-S40 camera. I did receive the info that James had originally posted directly from him, but didn't want to crack open the camera. This fix is much quicker and "cleaner". Happy picture taking! Bob

    Great!! It worked Thank you for the temp fix. I was about to sell this camera on ebay, but I was worried because I had some pics on it that I needed to get off the internal memory before I sold it. As you can imagine thats impossible without a working display (the camera wouldnt allow me to cut the pics or delete from the PC). THANK YOU!
