  Hope this finds everyone in Feasterville getting ready for Christmas as we are here in Wescosville.
  
  Sheer frustration...? Well, not really...I got the "alternative fix" e-mail info from Eric, but didn't want to crack open the defective DSC-S40 just in case I was going to have to send it in for repair......Would I be able to put it back together??
  
  My quick fix discovery was sheer luck, but it works.....Hence I posted it asap to assist others in the same prediciment.
  
  And you're right, "He who laughs last laughs best."
  
  Judging from the amount of feedback I've received, a lot of us are $111.00 ahead, and able to use the camera again. And is that a whole lot of laughter I hear in the background?
