My JVC GR-SXM260 has a lens cap error. It says that my lens cap is on even though it's not. When I hit record, it records a black screen, but I have sound. Everything else seems to work but the recording due to this lens cap error. Please help!

Full info sent (via direct e-mail) and including details of the procedure used to obtain the qualified free repair on this manufacturing defect.
