I am amazed! I have used this and now the camera works.
The other fix I received from Sony (that worked, but not as quickly as your solution!)
1) take out batteries
2) press the "power" button for 30 secs (I press it up to one minute)
3) insert batteries and turn on.
My display is more clear using your solution though~
