Re: Error Codes Assistance

My Sony DCR-PC115E Handycam suddenly gives me a flashing error code C31:21. According to the manual I can fix this by reloading the tape, or reconnect the power or battery. This does not help. I've also tried the Reset button. My local camera seller recommends to send the camera to the nearest Sony service center. The camera is several years old, but has an excellent Zeiss lens and has given very nice video quality. Should I spend money repairing this camera? I also wonder if there is some kind og small battery for keeping the date/clock information that could be the problem? Or - is there any other possible solution to my problem?
