Hi, I have a jvc GR-D53AA video camera which displays "lens cap" when I turn it on even though the lens cap is off. I am able to record only sound, but cannot get picture. However I am able to view previously recorded pictures on the screen. Do you know what the problem might be? It is about 3 yrs old, and had very little use. Denise.

JVC service or questions -- CCD Replacement

contact your closest JVC Factory Center via phone or e-mail and inquire on the CCD replacement program and if it includes your model camcorder. The CCD can fail and cause the "Lens Cap" message.
