dude, you are a genius. I had started saving for repairs, but i SMACK it hard.

I am having the some problem with the Sony message C31:22 but smacking it hasn't helped. I haven't used the camera in a year because of the problem. Any other suggestions? The frustrating thing is that the camera was like new - I maybe put 4 to 6 tapes through it before it started acting up.

You are Awesome. I wish I would have read this page when my baby girl was born. I haven't used the camera till than, or had that error. And the night she was about to be born, my camera went out. And without any help from Sony support, I luckily bought a digital camera on the side and took some pictures. I called Sony and they wanted me to send it in to get repaired, which would have cost 100+ dollars, and so much time w/out my camera. She is now 3 months and we are able to video tape her thanks to you!!.... ou are AWESOME!!! And glad I found this site. I was going through the Sony site for help. Good thing I googled that error and found this site. It works

When I read this advice I thought it looked really silly (how to insert a tale? a tape!). But it really worked, thanks for saving me a lot of money to have my camera (other type but Sony as well) repaired professionally!
