Your quick fix worked, but is it permanent? My camera has been in and out of a reputable camera repair store in Atlanta for the last year, but the white screen keeps returning. Bob, your fix worked, but do people report that they have to keep "fixing" it from time to time? Will the Great White Screen return? All the same, it's a great tactic for those times you're about to miss the Moment! BTW, you can still take snapshots (nothing fancy) the old fashioned way (use the viewfinder) when the Great White Screen visits.
