Re[4]: Convergence problems on AV-48WP30

mitch Posted Aug 13, 2007, in response to:Nicole

The link works fine, you didn't remove all the spaces. I have done all these things to try to fix my av-48wp30. The only thing left to replace is the convergence module, the part with sheet metal sheilding around it. I really don't want to go there so I looked around and found the entire convergence board with all the components on it. The cost is 160 bucks with a 20 dollar core charge. It's at andrewselectronics(dot)com and it's in stock. I haven't got it yet but that's my next step. If you don't want to hassle with soldering and don't mind paying 180 bucks, then this is the way to go. Just plug it in.

I had a problem with my TV colors not lining up. One day I turned it on and the green was out of wack. I checked this message board and replaced the STK chips, bad soldering and all led to me just giving up on that and buying a whole new Convergence Board ($185). I replaced the missing silver box on the new board and I just plugged this in and though now my Green lines up okay, my red is out of whack. Is there something I am doing wrong? Can anyone help me? Did i miss a step? Frustrated......Bruce
