Re[4]: JVC service or questions

I have the same problem with a 36980.
You can hear the Flyback fire for a few seconds when turned on and then the Flashing timer LED.
The C926 cap is mushroomed so I am going to replace it this weekend.
I hope that's the problem.

Any luck Steve in finding the problem with your set?
If so what did they tell you it was?

  I changed the C926 with no luck. So I brought it to a repair shop and cost me $150 they claim they changed the power supply (which I doubt) but it works fine now so I won't argue.
