I have tried this and it does not work the error message will dissappear for a bit and then the camera starts to beep the message comes back and then the camera will shut off.

I have the exact same error message. I tried the reset and everything went the same way. Mine beeped the error message came back but it did not shut off on its own. I can take no-flash pictures but thats it.
