My Sony DSC-S40 screen went white and since this is my second faulty Sony camera I was looking on the net for some information to make a complaint. Then I saw your 'quick fix' solution. I can't believe it! My camera is fixed! I keep turning my camera on and off because I still can't believe that I have a screen!!! This is my second sony camera. My first Sony camera the DSC-P72 screen went completely. I tried the quick fix on this but it's completely gone... I may still ring Sony to give them some feedback on their products.
