Folks I had the same problem with a Sony CCD-TRV138 same code error C:31:23 and i've changed the Tape, i've reset the camera and nothing worked out. I SLAPED THE CAMERA TOP, BOTTOM AND BOTH SIDES WITH MY HAND (DO NOT USE TOO MUCH FORCE) AND IT STARTED TO WORK RIGHT AWAY!!! Thanks for this brilliant ideea.
