I have an Hitachi DZ-MV350A camcorder and I'm getting the following message on the screen: Error has ocurred. Error code No. 0280. Please read the manual. The manual states that the disc may need to be cleaned. Well, I tried that as well as inserting a new dvd. Neither worked. I also tried to reset the camera by pushing the reset button. That didn't work either. I called Hitachi and they told me to do these same things. When I informed them that we did, they gave us the number of a repair facility in NY (I'm in RI). The facility wants a $100 check up front that will be applied to the repair! I don't think so. I'm sure with shipping each way plus the repair, I'm looking at a $200+ repair for a 3 year old camera. Anyway, I'd like to know if anyone knows of a possible fix. If not, I'll be shopping again and it won't be for another Hitachi product!! Thank you.
