Re: JVC service or questions

Denis Posted Jul 27, 2008, in response to:Stacy Sample

I own a JVC model AV 32770 - Manufactured in Jan. 1997. I am unable to turn the tv on using the remote or manually (power button on front of tv). When I push the power button, I hear a click and the red power light indicator attempts to light but fails immediately. I assume the power(start) button is damaged or broken. My question is whether the costs of a new switch offsets the remaining time left for the tv? I am fairly handy and could install a new switch. Is installing the new switch a big job? It appears removing the screws from the cabinet will separate the tv and allow access to the switch on the front of the screen, is that right? Thanks for your advice, look forward to hearing your response.
