I own a JVC model AV 32770 - Manufactured in Jan. 1997. I am unable to turn the tv on using the remote or manually (power button on front of tv). When I push the power button, I hear a click and the red power light indicator attempts to light but fails immediately. I assume the power(start) button is damaged or broken. My question is whether the costs of a new switch offsets the remaining time left for the tv? I am fairly handy and could install a new switch. Is installing the new switch a big job? It appears removing the screws from the cabinet will separate the tv and allow access to the switch on the front of the screen, is that right?
