Re: LETS FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST SONY

Merry Posted Sep 20, 2008, in response to:Luis

My 60" TV MD#KF60WE610 was $3500 purchased 12/12/03 with Defected Optical Block: shows blogs of blue areas. Sony mailed out Confidential memorandum to the service dealer to fix under warranty only those who calls to complaint. By the way that wasn't for consumer to review. Sony post mfr defects on sony.com only, so if you are avg consumer don't check the mfr's website FIRST when Sony product with problem, you might be out of luck like me. It will cost $2,000 for repair the TV and Sony won't repair because I was out of luck by 2 month. They offered to EXCHANGE the TV, but don't let the word EXCHANGE fool you. EXCHANGE mean to Sony is to give you discound on new TV. But discount worth nothing when you already put out big investment on first TV and not about to spend another $3,000 for another Sony TV. Thinking problem will happen again and don't trust Sony customer service. Their attitudes are like I just work here, I just go by what the paper said. They will not refer you to anybody else. Sony products are not the same like used to be, and not reliable anymore, used be for the name but not even this days.
