Hello, I don't know who you are but if you were near you'd get a BIG hug and KISS from me. My 1996 Trinitron was flicking for about 6 months now - every 2 seconds and driving me up a wall. In fact I wanted to throw the rather heavy unit through the wall. I can't afford to get a new one so I wasn't looking forward to having Christmas off without watching some TV and at least a few DVD movies. I decided tonight to google the model and I found your advice along with others having the same problem. The first time I tried your suggestions it didn't work. So I tried again and my TV is on and NOT flicking. THANK YOU SO MUCH :-)
