I am thinking about buying a cam corder and came accross one and has the following comments about it: How much would you say it would cost to get that fixed?

Camera has brand new $500 tape casing, has error code associated with motherboard, but all electronics is in great condition. Professional evaluation: Present status: 1. Unit powers on, 2. display reads "E01" & "unit in safe guard mode" error codes 3. Loading mechanism will not unload, 4. Lens and camera circuit works good but will not record or playback due to error codes
