Re[2]: Sony DSC-S40 white LCD screen problem

Friend Posted Jan 08, 2010, in response to:Bob Allen

Solution if the knuckle techique does not suffice: Grab a small screwdriver Open your camera unscrewing it on the half a dozen small screws You just need to manage to take out the back cover to fix the problem On the top righ of the lcd screen, there is a small orange tape going south to a white and black rectangular devidce 3-4mm long. On this device there is mini switch, the black piece. Move it to 'open' the small device. Take out the orange tape and put it back fully Close the switch Test your camera - you can turn it on even if its skeleton is open. Good luck !
