Success for me as well. Model AV-27850 ( av27850 ) about 15 years old, DOM May 1997 on TV label.

C926 showed no swelling, no discoloration at all. I had done a visual on the main board when TV first exhibited the "power on, turn off in half second" symptom. I was going to haul it to recycle center but kept it in storage until I could haul it away. I then stumbled upon this site on a Google search.

I got a replacement cap at work as I am in the engineering business. 35V , 1000uF . When i removed the original cap from the board, i was shocked at the size diff btwn the orig and the replacement. The oem was marked 1000uF but only 16volt. It's always acceptable to go up in voltage but never down. The 35v replacement is working perfect, TV good as ever.

I wonder if JVC put the wrong cap in there originally (16v) , every reference I Googled to the C926 always said 35v.
