My daughter has a Sony Cybershot DSC-W120 that started acting up after a day at the beach. The lens would pop in and out several times before telling us to "power the camera on again." We thought there was sand in the lens so we vacuumed the camera with no results. I found this forum and tried pushing the lens in and dropping it on the lens side several times with no luck again. Then I dropped it on the LCD side and that did the trick! I have an extended warranty, but this was a much quicker fix. Thanks for the great advice!
