SONY DIGITAL AND ANALOG REPAIR HELP AND PARTS

I AM AN AUTHORIZED SONY CENTER CAMCORDER TECHNICIAN WANTING TO HELP OTHER TECHS IN REPAIRING CAMERAS.ALSO WILL HELP OTHERS FIND - RESEARCH PART NUMBERS- OR ORDER SONY PARTS FOR OTHERS.

  I have a Sony STR-DE725. It has been working fine up until today, when I powered it on - the unit powers up, the LED's come on, but the screen on the front remains blank, and no audio will come through the speakers.
  
  Any suggestions? If this is a known problem and a particular part needs to be replaced, I would love to know about it.

    I have the exact same issue. The day mine had a problem was Sunday Morning. Have you found any way to fix it?

      Nope, havent heard anything yet. I emailed Sony just now and hopefully will recieve a response soon. If nothing else, I'll take this to a repair shop, and then ask them what was needed when I get it back. I'll let you know if I find anything else out.

    One of these was just given to me because it had the same symptom as yours. I looked inside and found 2 blown fuses. A friend worked on it while I was at the beach in Mexico. He found a shorted 2SC-1620 output transistor and repaced it for $12.50 including shipping. Works great now. Sony wanted $30.00 for the same part. John

  Need current rating for Sony SMD fuse pn 1-533-979-21
  Also need to know package style (size) if directly available.
  Otherwise I can always measure it.

  Looking for power supply for SLV-E730 (SR825 from Mitsumi). I could probably repair it myself, but I don't have schematic or service manual. Can you help?

    I am also looking for help with the same power supply module. It failed after an interuption to the domestic power supply. I am not very high tech but I could probably replace a component if I was told what to do !

      I don't know what it is, but the print on it says AN8028
