I have a sony camcorder and had it for over 5 years. During my recordings, I am unable to use the menu (even when paused the recording), unable to use other features etc. When I have paused the recording, I can see in the viewer that the recorded part is rewinding. I have just recorded my last event on a video tape and found there is a line on the top of my top (coming from the video camera and a harsh noise. Do I need to take my camera in to get it serviced and how much would that cost? I even bought a new battery (disk) for the v.camera still no difference. Model No: CCD-TRV56E PAL.
Thanks for your time and hope to hear from you.

My Sony repair technician has diagnosed that I need an "output stage" and "driver stage" for my MHC3600. The generic part #'s are SK38751 and SK3875 and are apparently not available in Canada. Could you help me out or point me in the right direction? Thanks, Joyce

I have a sony ccd-trv12 camcorder. The small plate on the bottom of the camcorder that houses the female threads where the tripod adapter plate screws in has broken. The piece is seperate from the case, but the case holds it in place. Can you help me locate that case part?

  • sony ccd-f70 no power help playful0 - 3rd Jan 2005 20:40
i have a sony ccd-f70 and i am getting no power noting at all ive replaced the 2025 batt as it was dead ive checked all the circuits that i know of with a multi tester and all seem ok. i do get 3 volts now at the batt board after i put in the 2025 but the bat and the ac power seem to do nothing.
there is also a tape stuck inside of it but that should have bo bearing on the power issue i wouldnt think. but i just cant find the problem anyone have any ideas?

Get a new camera, the old sony camcorders had a crappy capacitor problem in which to chapen the production cost, they used sea weed capacitors, which when leaked destroyed the camera as the salt destroyed the circuit board. 60 Time bombs in one camera.

Sony KV32s42 chassis. After it runs for a couple of hours it develops a high frequency squeal. I would say it may be around 4-6K Hz. Not affected by channel or volume.
