I have a sony mvc-cd500 point and shoot digital camera. The "button" inside the disc tray that holds the cd in place is broken. Can you help me find a replacement "button"?

    Thanks

i too had this problem. i tried to "flip it." it snapped in...but was not a viable solution to the problem. it would eventually "spin out" too. i went to the camera-repair store and they said...sight-unseen, that it owuld cost about $211 dollars. a bit high for such a small piece. can we buy one and fix it ourselves?

My vx1000 shows a battery warning light and no longer lets me into the menu settings. Can't adjust iris or whitebalance or shutter speed change. My engineer says it's usually an indication of the small battery that gets into the menu options. Can you find the part for me or at least tell me where to find a complete parts list so he can order one?

    Hello
I just posted this note on the forum before I saw yours:

We had the Time Warner installation guy out today to hook up our digital cable box. He tried 2 different ones before trying it on our LCD tv and came to the conclusion that our Sony Vega YPPBR component is bad said they also call it a HD component. Does anyone know how I can find the part number, where to get the replacement, and if it is hard to replace myself? I am pretty mechanical just never worked on a TV before. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Our TV model number is: Sony KV-36FS12 Thanks in advance!

Can you help us with this! Much appreciated in advance!

    Cassie

I tried the battery idea on a stuck tape in my Sony Handycam ... worked great. Threading mechanism sounds like it is having trouble though. Nonetheless, the tape, which was inserted properly, is threaded and works now. Thanks.
