I just bought sony uvw-1800 off ebay and after I put in tape and press play I get error09-221. What does error message mean and what do I have to do to get it fixed.

I am getting an error code E04 on my JVC gr-dvl520u. the message states unit in safeguard mode...eject and reinsert tape. However the reason I got the error message was the tape got stuck and I have been unable to eject it. Is there a way to manually eject?

I have two Sony bvw-70 with error code 12. I have gone though the circuit path, from the sensor to the SY-64 board, it check out OK . The rewiew problem is not consistent;sometime the units will work fine and then there are days when the unit will damage the tape. Any help would be appreciated.
