Fd-91 locked up with "Disc Error 1301". Did what I had just read about formatting disc on computer. Cleared up problem. Amazing.

  I have sony dcs p8
  i have memory stick from lexar 128mbx2
  i have 1301 error and the camera cannot write/format the disk.
  i can format it from PC but still the camera cannot write to it.
  any help?

  I had similar problem. Looked everywhere for support without finding anything; until I tried the japanese site. This program (ver2.1) worked for me. Download and install. I didn't have any characters showing, just (????)on the buttons. Have to click and get lucky the first time like i did.

    i tried this program to format the memory stick. But the error continues to occur. I however could recover all my pictures from the MS.     I am not able to format the MS using the camera. As soon as I insert the MS in the camera I get the "Memory Stick Error" msg. It does not allow me to format. Any solution to this?

      I was told by Sony that only Mavica models FD85,90,95,& 97 are compatible with the memory stick. MVC-FD81, 83,87,88,71, &73 are not compatible with the memory stick & adapter.

      I have a sony DSC-P72 camera. when the memory stick finished i purchased a new one (memory stick pro) and since then my camera says 'memory stick error' and i am unable to take pictures. any advice?

    i have this mvc fd81 and i bought the mavica adapter, and 128 sony memory stickand that 13 error what can i do is there hope
