Hi, I'm writing in hopes you can possibly help me out by at least pointing me in the right direction. To begin with,we purchased a JVC HD big screen 2 years ago with 1500 dollars cash at tax time. It's worked fine until recently.the other morning we turned it on and it now has red wavy lines running across the screen in parallel sets from top to bottom. This was about a week ago.I turned it on yesterday to mess around with it and it now has a blue section across the top also. We've perused the help forums trying to find a answer for this problem and apparently everybody that bought this same model is having the same problem in the same timeframe. And of course, everybody says no one wants to work on JVC sets anyway.I sent a email to consumer reports and a fairly nasty one to JVC about this matter.I've heard back from consumer reports(basically told me theres nothing they can do)but of course not from JVC yet.Oh,the model number btw is AV-48wp34 in the JVC I Art pro series. Needless to say,we are very frustrated about this whole situation. To pay that much money for something and have it last only 2 years is not very pleasing. So,maybe you've heard about this and know which part needs to be changed?I've heard that some parts on this model cost as much as the tv itself! But anyway, any advice help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. It would at least get us going in the right direction.Sorry this is so long, thank you for your time. Thank you very much, Scott Kaiser

i need help, this has been driving my crazy for over a year now. i just saw this board has a MODERN HI-FI thread, so i thought i would ask for assistance. i have 2 receivers, both JVC. the 1st is a RX-7030VBK, the 2nd is a RX-7010VBK httX://support.jvc.com/consumer/prod...arc hive=true httX://support.jvc.com/consumer/prod...d=MODL0263 55 i am using ATHENA speakers. the 1st center channel speakers is an AUDION series AS-C1, the 2nd is a C.5 httX://www.athenaspeakers.com/modelASC1.htm httX://www.athenaspeakers.com/c5speaker.htm when i watch DVD's or play CD's on 5.1 or DTS my center channel speaker cuts in and out on dialog. i have tried new speaker wire, i have hooked up other speakers (front / rear speakers Athena AS-B1 & AS-B2) in the center channel position and it still happens, so i know it's not the speakers or the speaker wire. i am currently running it as surround, but just leave out the center channel speaker and setup the receiver so it is not even there, thus faking surround. a friend of mine who designs speakers said it is definitely not the speakers and most likely bad wiring in the receiver, does this sound right? what can it be? anyone? please i don't want to get rid of 2 decent receivers that still work fine except for this problem. i'm not the one with the problem, other have had the same thing with the RX-8030VBK, which is listed on my instruction manual, so it's the same rec'r with a few extras: httX://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/1/198390.html any ideas?
