I have a DSC-P51 when turning on the camara I get a black screen, I can view pictures but can not take any new one's, can anyone help?

Hi Steve I had the same problem. Its a dry solder inside the camera which effects the irus. Which lets in too much light or in your case not enough. You will have to take it in to get fixed.
