Hi, My 32" JVC TV has a huge black box in the center of the screen. It will still play the dvd, vcr, and regular cable.. you can hear and see about an inch of the show on the edges, but thats about it. What's causing this black box??? Thanks!

Jack Knight-Scott - 3rd Oct 2005 3:31 I ran into this problem after my kids had accidently thrown away the manual. My problem was caused by someone accidently turning on the closed caption. If you have the original remote. Then you will find a c.c. button on it. press it, and you will have the option of having text, etc., includding off. Make certain that CC is off.

Rob - 4th Feb 2007 17:08 How my 2 year old put the captions on, I don't know since it required some Menu navigation. But, your fix was the key. Wish I found this post three months ago!
