Re: JVC service or questions

Mark Dienes
- 11th Aug 2004 4:08

I have a GR-D90U and it was working untill I plugged it into a universal power supply. The camcorder uses 11v and once i plugged it into the power supply (dumb idea, it did seem dumb at the moment) it went dead and now will not come on. When I tested the power supply with a volt meter it was putting out 15v no matter what the setting was. Was wanting to know if they have a fuse or something to keep it from frying the board. any help would be great. just dont tell me that I am stuppid I already know that.

I read down the list further and I did the same exact thing that Mark Dienes did. Can you help us in any way?

yeah, mark, that was really stupid of you not to test the output of the powersullpy first. but all hope is not lost. yes, there is a fuse and it can be replaced and no, your board is not fried.
