    Mine too has done the same - TV under 2 years old - doesn't look like anyone responds on this site!!

      I had an engineer look at my tv, he explained that the switch failing and flashing is a cut off switch to stop the tv from blowing up, so anything could be wrong with your tv. (mine, to repair would of cost 3 times as much as the tv was worth...) and as the warrenty was only 12 months I could not claim anything from JVC. Hope this has answered you question, and you are right nobody seems to write on this forum....

      I had same problem with JVC 27" TV. No power at all after working fine for years. Picture quality was great and then all of the sudden, it doesn't turn on. I wonder if anyone ever will respond to all of these questions. I also checked my fuse inside the set and it is fine.
