Had my JVC AV 27985 in Sept. 1988.Was working fine, then suddenly got no power when I turned it on last July 2004. TV was manufactured June 1998,in Mexico.This is not normal since I have a 14"magnasonic and 21" RCA TVs which I had since 1991 and still working fine.There must be a factory defect on this TV model.JVC should look into this and make a recall.Our common problem- No Power as if the TV was unplugged.I call on JVC management to be responsible enough to find out this defect.
