I bought my JVC AV 27985 in Calgary,Alberta, Canada whose defect I mentioned earlier in my previous comment.No Power ,as if the unit is not plugged in.

    Hi i am working on the following if any one knows about the repairs

    jvc M.NO: av-27985
    Chassis: a 68

    Tv is dead as if no power
    please let me know what to look for

      My tv was not dead but kept clicking on and off. I replace one capacitor 1000MFD and 35volts. It is located close to power supply wire on the chesis. It cost me only buck and half for the capacitor. I think you try to change your capacitor. Mechanic was asking $140 for repair. Good luck.
