Re: JVC GR - DVL300

I had the E04 problem and it seems to be my tape that caused it. When I tried to eject it - it wouldn\'t come out. I pryed the door a little and it finally released and the tape was tangled inside the unit. Once I removed the tape it worked (I also "banged" the side of the unit for a while before taking out the tape with no effect).

Jim - 14th Nov 2004 23:00 E04 is a drum error, it can sometimes be caused by leaving tapes inside the camcorder when your not using it, the same thing happened to my JVC GR-DVM90U camcorder. The Factory service center in Woburn, MA told me about the tape thing and I have not had any problems with head clogs or the E04 code again.
