ok thanks for replying
seems loads of people have the same code appearing and don't really find a solution.
I'm in Africa so it really isn't going to be easy to find a solution
Thanks anyway !

Raja - 23rd Oct 2005 23:06 I have just had this error when trying to change tapes in my Sony DCR PC120E. The mechanism just seemed to jam. I searched google and found somebody else who had the same problem. The answer is simple. Just remove your battery and then reinsert it. This resets the camera and allows it to work again!
This advice has just helped me and my camera is working agin now!!!
Good luck!

chungg - 4th Feb 2006 23:01 I have similar problem i.e.unable to eject or run the tape with error code C:32:30 on my SONY DCRTRV20E. Have tried keeping it in warm dry room / charged up / tapping the sides and base to no avail. Only when I read this Raja's advise to remove the battery (I also had discharged it first by leaving it on- don't know whether it did make the difference!)that I found the camcorder worked agains as soon as I had re-inserted the battery. Thank you! can anybody advise whether this will now work every time or my camcorder will eventually die?

I have tried removing the battery several times on our camera and waited 30 seconds and it doesn't reset itself. Any other suggestions?

I was recording my daughter's first birthday party when I attempted to change the tape in my Sony CCD-TRV57 when I got the flashing error code C:32-11. I found a recommendation here to remove the battery and reinsert it to reset the camera. I did just that and the camera began to work again. This solution worked for me.

Brian - 3rd Mar 2007 5:29 I also have had the same problem repeatedly. At first, the battery trick worked, but no longer! I can now no longer eject the tape at all.
Of course, this problem started right after my service plan expired!

Malkeet - 4th May 2008 14:40 Thanks a lot, suggested method of removing and re-inserting the battery worked for me.
