Re: JVC service or questions

I have a JVC AV-32980 32" TV. Nive television..has worked great over the years and still looks good. Couple of months ago I wired the speakers through a switchable headphone jack to listen to TV and not bother room mates. Everythung has worked great since but today there is a complete power failure. The set doesn't respond. When I slowly move the AC plug into the extension cord, I can see that the set is pulling some power from the small spark, but it doesn't respond in any other way. As an electronic tech from years in the air force, I suspect it's some kind of power supply failure that doesn't relate to the headphone modification I made. The small fuse on the board checks out okay.

Any ideas?
