Marshall - 17th Jan 2005 4:10 I have a JVC AV-32980 32" TV. Nive television..has worked great over the years and still looks good. Couple of months ago I wired the speakers through a switchable headphone jack to listen to TV and not bother room mates. Everythung has worked great since but today there is a complete power failure. The set doesn't respond. When I slowly move the AC plug into the extension cord, I can see that the set is pulling some power from the small spark, but it doesn't respond in any other way. As an electronic tech from years in the air force, I suspect it's some kind of power supply failure that doesn't relate to the headphone modification I made. The small fuse on the board checks out okay.
Any ideas?

Marshall - 17th Jan 2005 4:51 I sent you a prior e-mail on a power problem with my AV-32980 (doesnt power up, but power good into TV). Serial # 13337423 Manufactured-1998.
After doing some more internet checking I have found that a number of owners with the same problem (same model and manufacturing date) have fixed the power problem by replacing the C926 1000uf 35 capacitor which is part of the power switching system. I have located the C926. I have the training and capability to remove and replace the capacitor. Has this been an ongoing problem with these models and can you recommend a repair that will fix the problem permanently or should I just replace the C926 with another of like kind?
Any feedback would be appreciated
Marshall

Hello, I hope you may be able to help me.... I purchased a modest JVC home theatre package TH303. It was set up A WEEK ago and worked great. One of my family watched a movie with no problems, then I tried it ...no sound. Video great, but no sound...either DVD/FM or CD display on Receiver indicates speakers working. The book does not have any factory reset...could their be a conflict with the type of signal...any ideas ??? thanks

Re JVC GR DX97. Not really service, but use..... Manual is unclear - is there a remote pause available for this camera via the AV socket? Using it with a remote camera mounted on safety helmet, a remote way to start/stop recording would be useful Thanks in advance Neil

Hi Stacy, I am Dinesh from Mumbai - India. In 2000 I had purchased a JVC Camcorder from Dubai. Right now I do not have the Model # but it one without the monitor screen. It has given me excellent service but of-late the picture used to jump or while looking thru the eye piece I could not see the object but could see some oblong or out of proportion objects. By chance once when I pressed the the eye piece shaft(the pivot point which attaches the eye-piece to the body of the camcorder) the picture used to get steady and I could shoot.
However, just a couple of days when i wanted to use the camcorder, I was shocked to see that while looking thru the eyepiece I could see nothing! There was only a blank screen. My battery was fully charged yet I could see nothing.
Could you please tell me what could be the problem and I would be obliged if you could give me the address of an authorised JVC Service Center in Mumbai.
Thanks and best regards,
Dinesh
