Error21-1C1

My BetaMachine gives me an error21-1C1. It only plays big tapes and not small tapes. Please Help :(

  Saw your posting regarding this error message, however, my machine (a Sony Betacam SP 1600) does the exact opposite. It plays smaller tapes and not the larger ones.
